Hi all,
When browsing sounds in HALion Sonic within Cubase 14 Pro, I can’t hear any audio preview while selecting presets. I have to double-click and fully load each preset just to hear what it sounds like, which slows down the workflow. I’ve checked the forum and noticed this issue has come up several times (though I couldn’t find a clear solution). Has this been addressed or improved in Cubase 14?
If Control Room is enabled, add the Monitor Bus and route it to a meaningfull output. All Previews are routed through Monitor bus.
If Control Room is disabled, right-click to a Output Bus in the Audio Connections > Outputs and enable the Main Mix on the given bus. Then all previews are routed to this Output bus.
Tried both options but none worked. When I single-click on any preset on Halion Sonic 7, nothing happens. I only get previews on the Media Bay, but not on Halion Sonic 7.
Same problem here. Just starting with Cubase, so maybe I’m doing something stupid.
Control Room is disabled. Main mix is enabled on “Stereo Out”. If I try e.g. Groove Agent SE then previews do work.
I’m using Cubase Pro 14.0.20 with HALion Sonic 7.1.30.823 (x64/vst3).
Do you have the latest MediaBay component installed, please? To do so, quit all Stienberg applicatinos and start Steinberg Download Assistant. This will download the latest Mediabay component automatically.
What kind of presets/files do you try to preview, please?
I think Martin thinks that you are previewing presets from MediaBay. However, you had stated that you are using the browser of Halion Sonic.
There is no preset preview. You have to load a preset in order to be able to hear it, as far as I know.
