Turned on Cubase 10.5 pro today to work on an existing sequence. There was no sound. After clicking a bunch of stuff, I found that I got sound in the blue cycle, but at 0, it started somewhere in the middle of the song and there was no sound when I switched back to the grey strip? Can anyone tell me how to get back to having sound with the usual grey strip selected?

What do you mean by the “blue cycle” and the “grey strip”, please? Could you use Cubase terminology, please?

When you do a mix you mark your perimeters with the grey strip up top. And when you want to cycle a section you hit the cycle icon on the transport next to “Play” and the strip up top turns blue.
