Hey. I am using VSL Synchron Prime and I have a score that has a triangle in it. When I record or hit the key on my keyboard, I can hear the triangle. However, when I playback the score with notation in the triangle part, no sound is emitted from the triangle part (the other parts play fine). Any ideas as to what the issue is?
The triangle is an unpitched percussion instrument, so you’ll need to choose an appropriate percussion map in the Endpoint Setup dialog, so that Dorico knows which pitch it should play back to produce the appropriate triangle sound. I believe the VSL team have created playback templates for VSL Synchron Prime, so I imagine a suitable percussion map is included in the package they have provided.
