No sound with "Generic Low Latency Asio Driver"

I can’t get any sound from my computer speakers while using Dorico. “Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO” driver works (which will play audio through my keyboard), but “Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver” doesn’t. I’ve been searching around forums, but nothing has worked so far. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ll not attempt to diagnose your specific problem, others are far better qualified to do so, but I have not had any problems since I installed FlexASIO. It just works!

Thanks Janus. Well ,I don’t know if anyone can explain this, but I installed FlexASIO, restarted Dorico and now the Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver is working. I didn’t change anything else. Go figure :joy:

That’s good news. (I would still change to using FlexASIO though. There is no downside!)

Usually when this happens, it is because another application is using audio and is trying to set its own sample rate, which is different to the one that Dorico is using. Often, switching between 44.1 and 48kHz will fix this.
