I cannot get swing to register
By “register,” I assume you mean play back? How are you entering it? (Are you able to share a file through the forum?)
Are you entering SHIFT + T, typing “swing,” selecting from the pop-up list, then seeing a signpost like this?
I am doing some jazz arrangements and would like to add swing to the playback. On a piano arrangements it works without a problem following the instructions in the manual but on an arrangement with just clarinet and cornet I can’t get it to register at all following the same instructions.
I’m doing all that but getting no signpost

I can’t tell you exactly why this worked, I’m afraid, but when I deleted all three of your rhythmic feel signposts in mm. 1–2 and added a new swing fell in m. 1.1, it plays back swung. Weird (maybe).
Many thanks for that @Judd! I normally don’t show signposts - perhaps I should. I have had it happen before and not got to the bottom of it so this will give me a pointer for the future.
It’s definitely worth having a ready shortcut (key command, Stream Deck, etc.) for hiding/showing signposts. It’s great to be able to quickly clear them off screen, but they certainly are critical at times!
Glad I could help, @joecurtis3108!
@joecurtis3108 I always set the swing timing in Ctrl Shift P Playback options - Timing.
If you mostly write jazz and most off the time want swing you can save it as default.
