No track preset - no instruments

I’m having problems with instruments not appearing when I click on “no track preset”.
With some users on a machine I get a long list of instrument categories and can select an instrument to use but other users on the same machine do not get any instruments listed.

I’m using Cubase 6.5 in a school. We add an Instrument track and select “Halion Sonic SE” and then click on “no track preset” above this option.

Can anyone help?

You possibly installed some instrument sets without selecting ‘for all users’ - it’s usually an inconspicuous check mark. I’m not sure how to fix that, but I’m pretty sure uninstalling and installing again should do the trick.
