Noise related percussion

Hi All,

I’m sure you have all heard action / cop / scifi movie sound tracks in which there is a percussion loop made from various clanks, hisses, backwards and slowed samples, and any other found noise. These loops range from subtle to very aggressive and harsh.

My question is this: What is the best software in which to construct such loops from scratch and is there a good sample library that contains sounds like this?

I would like to know this as well. Especially if there are sounds and loops like this in an uptempo, breakbeat fashion.
