Noise When Editing

When i’m playing a project if i edit a MIDI track as well i’m getting nasty noises and the audio monitor hits the red.
Are there any settings that need attention ?

Try to increase Buffer Size.

I’ve just checked my M-Audio driver panel and it’s set to 258.
I’m also reading about ASIO Guard and changing hyperthreading in the BIOS
Which is best to change first ?

Start with BIOS, then Buffer Size.
