So this is a totally dumb question, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.
When you record guitars/bass/anything whatever. Do you try to get things as tight as possible with as many takes as it…takes… or do you get it “good enough” and chop it up/edit after the fact?
How far do you go on demo’s? Do you tend to leave things a bit rough, and just go for a vibe or do you try to make them as polished as you can?
Anyway, just curious what most people do.
