In Cubase 8.5 I set N as a keyboard command as I used a lot. So I looked in C13 to assign and search for normalize and then assigned N for normalize. I chose -1db. the result was way too loud and distorted, So I went to undo and then there was a flat line., no sound. I couldn’t undo and reverted to saved. So I trid again and as soon as I pressedN, it didn’t give me a choice to set the amount, just did and ruined again and I again, reverted. No I undid the N key selection, which I saw now was under offline procesing.
I went the normal route and audio>processing>normalize and it happened again. Another revert and tried again, this time it wasn’t automatiic and I set the level to -2. Again I wasn;t happy and undoing essentially flatlined it againm where there is almost no signal at all. This is not a normal undo, and only reverting to save restores the way the waveform was before.
