Since i could only post one picture somehow here, read the post below pls
Hello guys, so im a absolute beginner struggeling to set up my daw to be able to record voice tracks.
You will probably think wow this guys is completly clueless and its true - the frustrating thing is , 4 months ago i got it to work but now im just not able anymore to set it up.
Would be nice if anyone has an idea what i can try.
I got an focusrite soundinterface and in my opinion i have set it up correctly - at studio - audioconnections its the mono in setting
and in studio settings i have selected my sound interface with the plugged in mic aswell.
When im adding a voice track im selecting this
I got a mic signal but i seen its saying stereo and i dont know why
But if i change to stereo when i wanna add an audio file its recording but i can only hear out of my right speaker instead of left an right
I made a new mono BUS
new try here
but yeah nothing is working
I show now my focusrite settings aswell maybe you see some mistake there if anyone is bothered to help clueless me
If anyone has an idea would be nice if you can help me, thank you in advance.
When you had the stereo input showing meter activity it was showing signal on the right channel only. (And this is also what you managed to record and hear)
In a stereo pair usually 1 is left and 2 is right.
So either plug the mic to ch1 of the interface or create another input bus from mono 2 and choose that as input to the audio track.
@JackCool this is going to sound weird but it works for guitar!
On this screen:
Try changing your Konfiguration to stereo.
If that works, then your Stereo In will look more even, and you should have a more balanced stereo track… you can check the audio without needing to record by enabling Monitoring on the track:
If that doesn’t work, hopefully someone else will come along and offer support. Good luck!
Thank you so much , this instantly fixed it xD I could swear i have tried it lol but now its working anyway. Thanks again!
Thank you all so much !
