Not all tools are present in sample editor window

Hey guys

I have been using cubase 8.5 without a problem for a year…

today i was editing in the sample editor window… and now i have tools missing… which i can’t figure out how to get back! arrow tool, draw tool, scissors. These do not appear even with the shortcut (1,2,3) number on keyboard.

when i go to the main windows… these tools are all there…

I have tried to reset the factory setting from the preferences… but still no luck

really need these for my work :frowning:

Have you tried Safe Start Mode?

i tried it… still have the problem… i think i will have to reinstall :frowning:
