Not enough space on disk message..but there IS!!!!

When I try to make (export) an MP3 file from a cpr file, I get the message “Not enough space on disk available for export”. But there is plenty of space for this 4 minute file containing only 4 or 5 tracks. This is crazy! Why am I getting this message?
