I’m a Nuendo 12 user and had a question regarding plugin formats. I’ve noticed that some plugins offer both VST2 and VST3 versions. Considering that VST3 is the newer and more advanced standard, why is there still an option to install VST2 plugins? Are there specific scenarios or compatibility concerns that make VST2 a better choice in some cases?
Additionally, I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 11. On Windows 10, I had a project running at 96 kHz, 32-bit, with a buffer size of 2024, which worked well. However, after installing Nuendo 12 and all my plugins on the new system, the same project is experiencing audio lagging issues. I increased the buffer size to 4096, but the problem persists, and I’ve noticed the performance meter (accessed by pressing F12) shows no activity. Could you advise on what might be causing this issue?
