I just updated my Kontakt player from 5.2.1 to 5.3.1 because an NKI file that I downloaded won’t load into 5.2.1.
The standalone file shows 5.3.1 when I look at the version number under help. But when i start up Cubase 7 and open up my VST, it still shows 5.2.1 and the NKI file won’t load.
What do I have to do to get the Kontakt file that I just updated to appear in Cubase?
Make sure the new kontokt dll is in the vst folder. Right clicking on the dll will show you which version it is. Search the computer for all Kontakt Dll’s and pick the right one.
My Kontakt 5 original does not have any kind of problems under Cubase 6.5.5 but a lot of problems under C7.5.20 mmmmmm is Kontakt problems? All in 64bit mode… A lot of work to do for steinberg
