Under Notation Options/Modernist options, the first setting is for Accidentals on repetitions of the same note anywhere within the bar. The first option, Always restate, is pretty much standard practice, although it’s not selected by default. Under the second option, Do not restate within a bar, why is the F# restated? And if the 4th and 8th notes should be C-natural and D-natural respectively, then the nomenclature is wrong, as C# and C-natural are not repetitions of the same note. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call the setting, Accidentals apply only to the notes they precede. Funny that this should fall under Modernist options; having accidentals apply only to the notes they precede is a Baroque practice.
