note durations not working for HSSE+HSO

I noticed that if I change the note durations for e.g. staccato notes, under Playback Options, it works fine with the HSE (Elements) playback template, but it has no effect whatsoever for HSSE+HSO (Pro) … Is this normal? Note that the articulations themselves (staccato vs tenuto etc) work fine with both templates. I’m not a playback expert, so maybe I’m missing something obvious or I have a wrong setting?

When you play back with HSO, some of the instruments have sampled articulations, so those are used in preference to the MIDI approximations.
