When using Note Expression data with external MIDI gear or VST2.x plugins, i.e. MIDI-CC data, we are able to consolidate overlapping CC-data by spreading notes and their Note Expression MIDI-CC-data across consecutive MIDI channels, or by filtering the Note Expression MIDI-CC-data by a “monophonic note rule”…
Once consolidated, MIDI-CC-data is no more editable in context with their notes, which means manual adjusting CC-data when editing note start/length…
Feature Request: make Note Expression Consolidation an optional Realtime process, please! One simple button in the Note Expression tab in the inspector that switches realtime consolidation on/off… like a MIDI insert fx for Note Expression MIDI-CC…
I imagine, Steinberg wants to push their VST3 technology with VST3 Note Expression, but Note Expression is so very usefull for everything else MIDI, be it external gear or thousands of VSTi2.x…, which will stay for years to come…
