Note Expression/Expression Map Management

Hi all,
Note expression is a very powerful tool, but I’d like the following additions:

  • Save/Load/… etc. Note expression data as presets, loading with selectable options (key command!) whether applied and stretched over all selected note events or into selected events individually

  • Paste Note Expression Data with above “Autofit” into a MIDI note event, selectable (with key command!) if applied and stretched over all selected note events or into selected events individually

  • Spline curve Note Expression data editor or preset curves a á la “Fades” dialog box

  • Opening the pop-up Note expression editor auto-selects the draw tool, clicking outside reverts to the “arrow tool”

And some thoughts about expression mapping:

  • I’d like to be able to click on an expression slot in the Expression Map Inspector tab and assign that to the current cursor position.

  • Articulation editing lane must reflect order of articulations in expression map editor!

I like your suggestions. As I suggested in a different thread, I would love the idea of setting articulations by right clicking (or other intuitive ways).
