I figured out how to use Note Expression but I still don’t know why I would ever need it. I’ve been using VST Expression with EWSO a lot in a film scoring course I’m taking and find it very useful. But Note Expression still seems like a solution looking for a need. Can anyone give me a practical example?
So you have a 4 note midi chord. You only want to pitch bend one of those 4 notes. Just one example of note expression, but you don’t think anyone would need that or just yourself?
Prior you could achieve the same, but would have to use a separate midi track. Now with note expression you don’t need a separate track.
I hope more VSTI’s start implementing VST3 because I don’t want to use Halion.
