Note input with computer keyboard

I need tips for quick computer keyboard manipulation of notes.

1. With Finale I could use arrow keys to move inputted notes up and down…how does Dorico work with this?
2. How do I quickly change a note to rest and back other way quickly

1. Just the same way, but with hold ALT/OPTION key for diatonic steps and additional SHIFT key for chromatic steps.
2. Pressing DELETE changes the note to a rest and pressing the letter A–G (or undo with CTRL/CMD-Z) changes it back to a note (with accidental depending on the key signature or context). Unlike Finale you don’t have to enter rests in most cases in Dorico.

As @TonH already mentioned, you just need to assign the arrow keys to be shortcuts to raise and lower the shadow notehead. Finale w/arrow keys [fin] Dorico w/arrow keys [d] (I use Dorico with a MIDI keyboard 99.9% of the time, but arrow key entry is nice when on a plane or train.)
