I would like to know how to avoid overlapping notes, and place one voice next to the other note that occupy the same space.

In the properties panel in Engrave Mode (Dorico Pro only), under Notes and Rests, adjust the voice column index. (Later edit, more or less synchronous with @David26’s post:) There’s also a general setting in Notation Options:

Another way to do it is through Notation Options under Voices. Choose the appropriate option and it will move automatically.
