Hello. I have had repeated difficulty on Windows 10 with Dorico 6.2.3 while using Cantai 3.0.1 and implementing Note Performer 5, and as well using Etude piano for the piano sound.
Once I assign an instrument, such as in my case dilemma, Tuba to a track but now desire to change it rather to an electric base, Dorico shows the change on the track page, however, the tuba sound unwantedly continues to be heard although the track instrument assignment in setup page shows the allowance to switch to an electric four string base.
I tried everything, even creating in Play mode VST a new Noteperformer slot setup. On the track write mode page I erased all the existent notes on the base track, moving them down to a new track.
I’m frustrated because I used AI for a solution trying everything, emptying cache etc. but can’t get rid of the overriding existent tuba sound and I can’t get the newly changed electric base to sound even though everything is labeled electric base.
I’m using 5 tracks of Cantai vocal players followed by a track to play the Etude piano set for concert grand, then the newly named base track, then strings I, Strings II, cello, and finally double base, using Note Performer slot in VST (08) for these five staves.
I even changed the template creating an end point configuration “renamed” “Cantai 5, Etude Piano, and Note Performer” putting this newly saved template into first slot.
Please help. I’ve taken two days trying to resolve with AI but to no avail.
