Note rhythm displayed wrong? (Confirmed)

Windows 11
Cubase Pro 15.0.21

When I want to put a note (whole note + quarter note (4+1)) in the score editor, it shows 4+2 but it sounds like 4+1. Input length is 1.1.0.0.
Am I missing a setting or is this a known issue?
Thanks in advance, Twan

Made a support request.

Hi,

It works for me as expected.

How is the Display Quantize set up?

Hi Martin,
set on 1/16.
What ever I do it doesn’t change.

I created a small track in Cubase 12 pro, loaded this in 15 and it shows correct.
I have no clue. Somebody?

I had (have) the same kind of problem with the score editor, although not quite the same as your’s. Apparently It makes a difference if you input notes with the mouse, or record them using a piano keyboard. In the latter case you have more control over what the note looks like in the score.

Hi Michel,
Notes were done with the mouse in the score editor.
Bedankt!

Hi all,
What Michel mentioned is correct.
First note input midi keyboard and the changes are correct.
Second note is mouse input and it does not change in the score.
Can someone reproduce?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Could you please describe more precisely, what exactly did you do? How did you input the note (in the Score Editor or in the Key Editor)? How did you set the length? How did you edit it?

Hi Martin,

Open Cubase
New project
Add instrument track
Create a few empty bars
Open score editor
Select whole note with your mouse on top
click it in the staff
Lenght in the top is now 1.0.0.0
Change lenght in the top to 1.1.0.0
What do you see in the score? It did not change!

Hi,

OK, confirmed and reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
