Is there a way to horizontal spacing of notes for a half note pulse rather than a quarter note? Say for 3/2 rather than 3/4.

What does this mean? Can you give more detail?
Dorico by default uses the quarter note as the basis for all note spacing. Then has ratios for everything else. When you have a piece in 3/2 the percentage at the end of the staff is always very large because the program thinks there is more in the system that there is.
Here is what I am seeing.
So why not just reduce the crotchet note spacing?
