This note spacing looks too crowded. Is there a way of correcting it?
I found that when the example I posted stays as FINAL MEASURE, the crowding was as shown in the example. When I added an extra measure, the crowding disappeared.
It looks to me like the bar was not justified in your first picture, and then adding another bar caused the system to become full enough that it became justified. You probably want to switch off the option on the Note Spacing page of Layout Options that prevents the final system from being justified until it is 75% full.
