In the Note head design window, under duration: what is “Number of note durations” at the end of the list?
Couldn’t find it in the docs …
Yes, I understood the function of this menu. What I don’t understand is just the last entry “Number of note durations”.
Or maybe it’s me not being a native speaker … in German it says “Anzahl von Notenwerten”.
You would expect to input a number of things/…
I’m going to be totally honest, and admit I don’t know either. It could be that it’s not really supposed to be there.
Probably best to select one of the named durations and use the checkboxes beneath to allow the notehead to be used also for shorter/longer durations than the selected one.

I was just doing an experiment with some medieval notation and tried to put different note shapes (standard notes, ligatures) on the rhythmic slots. And this menu entry looked interesting …
