Here’s the scenario: Crash Cymbal part. I want all “white” notes to be open diamonds and all “black” notes to be X’s. (This is what my publisher expects) I don’t see that particular choice in Notation Options. Can it be done without having to change the note head on every single note?
You should be able to edit the percussion kit so that it uses a specific notehead.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, you are correct. One can choose several different particular note head styles in Notation Options. The problem is, you have to choose a specific shape like diamonds or triangles for all notes. One or the other. What I need is a mixture so that half notes and longer appear as diamonds and quarter notes and shorter appear as X’s. It seems I can’t mix the two styles on one percussion instrument.
