I have a piece of music created in Dorico. Somewhere along the way the noteheads stopped aligning with the stems. All noteheads are shifted a tiny bit to the right.
I use the larger notehead size, but resetting to default notehead size does not fix this issue.
I have been searching through the pro manual and forums, but cannot find any solution.
Screen shot coming.
Welcome to the forum @gattodacqua,
As you will no doubt find the more you visit us, it’s best to upload a short project with any issues present.
I can see the result of your problem but I have no idea about the settings you have. There may be a simple one to solve this.

Thanks, and i have just posted a file.
I am absolutely certain it’s a simple thing. I am still new to Dorico, haven’t learned all the tricks yet.
It’s very much a brute force method, but try this:
Open Library > Library Manager…
Set Compare to: to Factory settings
Set Show: to Differences
In the LH column, click on the red ≠ sign at the right of Options
It will change to a green arrow
Click Apply
Do the same steps for Collections
Close the Library Manager window
In Library > Music Fonts… , select any music font other than Bravura and click OK (Edit: this might not be necessary).
Then go back into the same place, select Bravura and click OK.
When I carried out all these steps, the stems and noteheads aligned correctly. The only oddity that I observed was that the dotted note in bar 14 (tied from the previous note) lost its stem. I was able to fix this by deleting the two tied notes and re-inputting them. On going back a few steps, I selected the dotted note and opened Properties. Its stem length had been altered. Disabling Stem adj. restored the stem.
Thank you very much. That did indeed fix the stem alignment.
It also basically reset many preferences, fonts, spacing, etc., so beware, anyone with a similar issue.
But you did warn, ‘brute force’.
I will go from here and keep a close eye on this and other alignments, see if i can identify what threw them off.
PS-- yes, m14, dotted note, the stem was gone. But i clicked on it, a little adjustment square appeared, i just dragged it upwards and there it was again.
