I tried re-starting my computer; resetting Playback Template, etc. but no matter what I do, the green playback line is always a bar ahead of what I’m seeing on the screen. I know Arne had previously told me to reset the computer to get it back in alignment if it happens, but no dice. Is there any way to solve this as it’s quite distracting. I’m also happy to privately email the file if it helps.

To me sounds a bit like Dorico and the audio engine don’t agree on the current sample rate. Could you please go to Edit > Device Setup and in there switch to a different sample rate and then back to the old one? That should bring the two back in sync again. Hope this helps.
I re-opened that particular Dorico file today and the problem had mysteriously gone away. However, I will definitely try what you suggest the next time it starts acting up (with thanks!)
