I hope this is not too esoteric. I’m using NotePerformer 4.5 with the BBCSO Core playback engine, which sounds great except for the piano. So I splurged on the BBSCO Pro piano, which does sound awesome.
Is there any way to BBCSO Core for everything except the piano, and then use the BBCSO Pro piano, in NotePerformer 4.5? I can’t figure it out from the Play mode and the NotePerformer mixer. Thanks for any ideas!
Regardless of the sound library, you can always create an own custom playback template where for particular instruments you choose specific sounds and for the rest default to another library.
Here is a tutorial video of how to create own playback templates.
as you have the NPPE for BBC Core, you’d need to add the BBCSO Pro VST (or the BBCSO piano VST if it’s separate – I don’t have that instrument) and change the entry in the Track Inspector to that with “Default” as the Expression Map so as it doesn’t use NotePerformer. Otherwise you will finish up with the NP piano which isn’t exactly great. At least I assume that’s what will happen unless NPPE can substitute the BBC Pro piano automatically but I imagine you tried that already.
