Notes played on keyboard or auditioned on selection are shifted down compared to playback

I’m jumping in on this thread since I’m experiencing an issue since the latest update.
In the past, I’ve occasionally had to reset the sample rate to bring Dorico back up to pitch. But now the pitch is shifted (down) only when I play the keyboard or select a note. When I press play, it’s in tune–this without resetting the sample rate (48000 to match my system).

I don’t have any ideas about this, I’m afraid. I don’t think it can be related to a transposition setting on your keyboard, as presumably your keyboard itself is not producing any sounds of its own. I can’t imagine how playback could be at one pitch and input/auditioning could be at another – unless perhaps you have the Tuning value overridden in Playback Options, and Dorico is only respecting that during playback and not during input?

Tuning is 440.
I’m beginning to think it’s the pitch wheel (that I never use). I seem to recall reading about issues with M Audio controllers but I have had this keyboard for at least a decade with no issue until now. Ah well…
Thanks for responding (and reassigning the thread).

If want to test your pitch bend wheel to see if it is causing the problems you can use a MIDI monitor like this one to check the output:

To do that you select your MIDI input at the top, then move your pitch bend wheel to see the data.

Your pitch bend wheel should center at value 8192.
If it does not, there are ways to block the pitch bend messages from your MIDI keyboard as a fix.
