Notes that are aligned with the grid overlap

Hi.
I decided to put it in a separate section, because the problem greatly spoils life with VL. On the grid alignment lines, the ‘Note Off’ and ‘Note On’ messages are processed randomly. This leads to the fact that if the same note is before and after the grid separator, then it does not sound after the separator. This happens everywhere and randomly. The only way to get around this is to disconnect the grid and pull each note away from it.

If the notes are aligned on the grid or they have the same end and start time, then all the ‘note off’ messages should be triggered first, and then only ‘note on’.

The picture shows that 4 notes end and 4 begin, and messages pass through 8 notes.

Maybe preference Midi/Length adjust helps?

Thanks. May be. But I couldn’t find anything about this option. The midi settings are not included in the manual, and there is no tab for them. What does it do?

It is possible that most of the questions and suggestions would have been eliminated if the documentation had not lagged behind the versions.

This thread is confusing. Could it be there are two independent issues here?

Yesterday, I made a few bars on the track. After 2 hours, I couldn’t get all the notes to play. Not only did the repeated note not sound, but also the other notes that were aligned with the grid. (I don’t have the ability to attach audio here). After that, I transferred the midi tracks to Cubase, and everything played immediately.

For now, I’ve decided to work on my projects in Cubase until they’re fully completed, and to do rehearsals with Cubase. Transfer a fully assembled song to VL and, where possible, transfer ready-made midi tracks with all the automation to audio and transfer them. Use layers and instruments in VL only for live playing, as this may help me work faster.
I am unable to prepare the entire project in VL due to the significant as the time spent dealing with the program where it should work is enormous..

Could you give us that project? Just the midi track and “Save Archive”. Can’t see which notes, and similar tracks play fine here.

Yes, of course. A can give you this track and the recorded sound.

Yes, that would be very helpful, thanks!

A chord of three notes is recorded, which is repeated three times. The notes are aligned with the grid, and notes occasionally disappear during playback. It has been verified that there are no overlapping notes or duplicate notes.

Thanks. We can identify a problem and will fix it for the next version, pls try again then.

And thank you once more for helping with the file!
