Is there any way to select an item in the Score window, like a hairpin or an lyric, and then use the arrow buttons on the computer keyboard to nudge it up/down? (which would be easier than using the mouse, for minute adjustments).
Yes.
Go to Key Commands
Under “Nudge” folder
Assign a key command to each direction of “Graphical …” if there isn’t any assignement already.
Now you can use those commands to graphically move any selected item in the score, in any direction, with precision.
