Nuendo 10 keeps crashing while booting - Help!

Hello,

I recently upgraded from Nuendo 8.3.15 to Nuendo 10.2.10. Initially it was running fine. But a week in, it started crashing, and hanging up upon quitting. Now it barely opens – sometimes it takes like 12 attempts to boot before it works – and usually then, it works. It seems to hang up while loading one of these four things:
MTC Generator
Record Time Max
Mixer
VST System link

Can anyone help me?

Mac Pro (2012), 2 x 3.46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3; OS X High Sierra 10.13.6; Nuendo 10.02.10; RME Fireface 800

Any time now someone will tell you do rename the plugin folder,
and let in only a few plugins at a time, until you find out which one(s) cause the problem.

I’ve been having this issue as well on one of my machines which has 10.2.1 installed. Mine crashes around some network thingy and the report shows some CFNetwork to be the issue.

I can usually get it working fine the 2nd time I launch it though. But, yeah, it’s annoying and crashes way too often. I assumed it was due to my new MBP and running Catalina.

Edit: This is the error log I seem to get,

Is this related to Nuendo or something to do with Apple?

For those seeking dramatic closure on this topic… Steinberg got back to me and said this:

“If you still have the previous Nuendo version on your computer, please reset the program preferences to make sure nothing from the old version is interfering with the new one. On your desktop, select Go>Library (Hold option to reveal hidden library folder)>Preferences>Nuendo 10. Drag this folder and any previous Nuendo folders to the desktop. This will reset your preferences to their default settings next time you open Nuendo. If this works, you can then grab things like key commands and templates from the old preferences folder and put them in the newly created one.”

I did this, and it worked.
