Nuendo 15: Audio Export Significantly Slower Than Nuendo 14

This is a simple WAV export — 24bit, 48kHz, mono, raw voice acting project (no FX, no plugins on tracks).
Project duration: ~2 hours 5 minutes.

System: Mac Mini M4 Pro, macOS Tahoe 26.3.1
Nuendo version: 15.0.21 / 14.0.41
Audio Interface: Apollo Twin X Thunderbolt
Processing Precision: 64 bit float (tested both 32 and 64, no difference)
Video Track: Tested with video track both enabled and disabled (also tested with video track deleted entirely) — no difference.
During export, Activity Monitor shows:

  • Nuendo 14: ~270% CPU usage
  • Nuendo 15: ~180% CPU usage

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known fix or workaround?

Can you test with and without ASIO guard?

Hi there, im facing the same issue with nuendo 15. My exports are significantly slower compared to Nuendo 14 or 13, even with minimal plugin usage. Hope it gets fixed :"(

I realised the export duration is the same for me, regardless on whether it’s a realtime or offline bounce
