The new folder channel seems to me to be the same as the group channels!?

You cannot nest tracks in the Mixing Console in regular Groups, only in Group Folders.

One more thing:

if you open a Nuendo 14 template (“old” folders and groups in it). Is there a cool way to convert the “old” folders to the new ones with group-function activated?

Right click on the folder - there’s an option to convert it to the new kind

However if that folder is assigned to a group any plugins inserted will not be carried over.

I would like to highlight the behavior of previous versions, which I believe was correct. If you open a version 15 project in version 14, the behavior for ‘routing folders’ is to create both a group and a folder
