Making Internal tracks & there Automation lanes specific colors from the parent, not an issue.
And Rendering internal Tracks in multiples, then rendering within the Folder / Group but Auto routing to a stereo out so as to not pass through the parent Folder / Groups inserts and channel settings again is a nice touch.
A thoughtful Implementation, that I’m sure will be even more refined over time to hopefully introduce:
Feature Request: Can we have some way of specifying a default output when converting a Folder to a Group Folder. Ideally, I think the output should be the output of the current audio in the folder if they all point to the same group or output already.
It is very nice, the implementation, however since this appears to be a Feature Request thread, for the new Folder Groups, I would add:
Have the Record Ready, and Input Monitor buttons come before the Group Editing and Audio Warp buttons, for consistency, and as well have those available via a single click, rather than double click, as it is now.
Saying that, to my mind however I would prefer those aforementioned buttons, i.e., Record Ready and Input Monitor, available as Global on/off buttons, similar to and near the Solo/Mute buttons, in the button bar at the top of the program.
Another thing that would be nice, now that we have a more useful container for tracks would be to allow a function whereby track heights of child tracks are altered to be the same size, depending on the height of the container track, i.e., the Folder track in question.
