You read it, though. So… there was some talk about it.
haha …ya got me there! I’ve mentioned several random times that Yamaha should just buy Avid….so technically…..there’s some “talk” there too…even if only by me

Yes I asked for this but as you can see, it was a waste of time. Don’t waste your energy anymore with this.
I understand, i thought at NAMM they would have it together but as usual the NUENDO (Most expensive) gets the last update. Lame
Not really Lame, very logical.
-
It needs to be super stable for its core user’s type of work (Longform Film Footage, not 5 minute pop songs).
-
Nuendo gets new features not seen in Cubase sometimes 2-3 versions later.
Remember Steinberg is celebrating 25 years of Nuendo in 2025-2026, so maybe a lot more effort has gone into this version.
I like how Ableton do things, 3-4 years between version updates, and about 10-15 Beta versions before Updates, I dont like this 12 month cycle and everything is buggy until 9 months in and then another version lands in 3 months filled with bugs.
Nuendo 14 is stable for me, i only update because prices get steeper, i dont like the idea of leaving a stable software and landing into a broken one.
N15 isn’t due until April or so 2026.
Nuendo 14 was released in March '25. I would not expect a version update within a year.
I’m predicting Feb 19 or 26. You can quote me. ![]()
I have no inside information, I don’t speak for anyone, but based on my calculations and guesses, those two dates line up in my mystical estimagic crystal ball.
I’ve been using DR AI IntelliCut to remove silences, checkerboard dialogue by speaker, and automatically generate ADR cues, which I then export to Nuendo. The entire workflow is flawless and surprisingly well implemented.
I’ve also used its AI voice convert (cloning) feature to fix problematic dialogue, and in my last two documentaries, no one noticed the changes.
I would love to see similar capabilities integrated into Nuendo 15 n some form.
I don’t mind if it’s released by 25 April.
This is true! Feb 26 is my birthday so I’m sure Steiny will launch N15 then…. ![]()
As a Nuendo fanatic, I’m writing and asking: there’s already a significant time gap between versions compared to Cubase. But as I see on the product page ( Premium Solution for Audio Post-Production: Nuendo | Steinberg ), even Nuendo’s promotional videos are six years old. This only makes me wonder: why doesn’t Steinberg value Nuendo as much as Cubase? Believe me, if we call Nuendo the big brother of Cubase, we should see some special treatment for it.
What specific kind of special treatment do you have in mind vis-à-vis Cubase? Esteemed PP Creators (Keith Alexander s interview in this case) is already highlighted on the landing page,
Userbase is niche and smaller. People using Nuendo are going to be pros who know how to use it, not hobbyists.
I’m now moving up my prediction by one week to Feb 12 or Feb 19, instead of Feb 19 or Feb 26. Again, I have no inside information. This is from my magical crystal ball.

Nuendo 14 has been so godamn stable for me it’s been glorious. Dont rush them plz ![]()
New features are nice and all but the number 1 priority is reliability when you are on a deadline.
Let it cook.
Now get back to work. ![]()
And me! And if it were only for the new features in C15 I wouldn’t be upgrading- well, bar the new expression map stuff, very curious to see the new implementation! That aside, N14 has been a true stable workhorse.
What would really make my day, would be N15 with Folders in the Mixer, just like in the Project Window. It’s just so clunky having to use Hide tracks, and it would extremely impact our workf low, in a positive way.
When using from 300 to 500 tracks, or like some film guys up to 2000 tracks in a project, having Folders in the Mixer, just like Reaper for example, would be just fantastic, and a complete game changer.
In The meantime, you can use [CONFIGURATIONS].
Set up specific mixer views that contain only mix channels you desire, and assign each mixer configuration to a Key Command.
Maybe if you read my post before posting. I even called it clunky because it is.
I have been with Steinberg since Pro 16, so it’s not like I don’t know how to use its features, as you imply in your reply.
That is why you never use Folders in the Project Window then. However just about everybody else does.
