Nuendo 5,5 in 64 bit over Lion

Hi everybody,

I’m sorry for my English but can someone help me ?
I’ve just installed Nuendo 5,5,1 on my mac book pro I7 that I bouht 2 days ago and I don’t know how to run it in 64 bit mode.
I feel very silly not to arrive to do this…

Please Help.

Yeah - its not something you’ll find easily.

But it is thankfully nice and simple.

Find the nuendo 5.5 app in the applications folder. Hit Command+I

You will see a check box in the Info box that you just opened that says “Open in 32-bit mode”

Make sure that is NOT ticked. NOT ticked = 64bit mode, ticked = 32bit mode.

If you are ONLY going to be using it in 64bit mode, this is the easiest way of doing it.

If you want to sometimes open in 32, and sometimes in 64, then duplicate nuendo.app (hi-lite it in the finder, and command+d). Rename the original to nuendo64bit.app and the second to nuendo32bit.app, and get info on both (again, command+i) and make sure the settings are correct for each. You can then drag both of these into your dock, and choose which one you want each time you open nuendo.

You can even have both running along side each other at the same time (good when you are trying to track down bugs or the like)

Hope that helps. Cheers, Brendan.
