Hello everyone on the forum,
I’m a complete beginner when it comes to using Nuendo Live 2, and last weekend I recorded a cabaret show for the first time using my Yamaha TF3 live console with Nuendo Live 2.
I followed Yamaha’s tutorial to set up the connection between the Yamaha console and my laptop to Nuendo Live 2, and it worked without any issues.
I recorded the show with Nuendo as a multitrack recording using “only” microphones (1 headset mic, 1 wireless mic, and 2 mics for the piano).
As I mentioned, everything worked great. All the mics recorded on their respective tracks, and testing the recording after the show by playing it back through the console to the venue’s sound system also worked.
Now I listened to the recording on my PC and realized that the entire recording is very quiet. On the PC, I set the volume to full and also set the speaker volume to 100%.
If I were to play music via MP3 or YouTube right now, my ears would be blown away, since the speakers are pretty powerful.
When playing the recording, however, the volume is unfortunately lower than room volume.
Long story short:
Can anyone here tell me what I might have done wrong, or how I can increase the overall volume of the existing recording in Nuendo Live 2?
I’ve already searched Google and tried to find something here in the forum.
This coming Saturday, I have an event where we’ll be recording a podcast, so the recording needs to be of high quality so that the podcaster can edit it afterward and optimize it for platforms like YouTube.
I’d really appreciate any help or tips you can offer.
By the way, I made the recording using the settings recommended by Yamaha.
Multi-track recording mode
Sample rate: 48,000 Hz
Bit depth: 24-bit
Project frame rate: 30 fps
Driver: Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO
Unfortunately, I can’t take a screenshot right now since I’m only at my PC and don’t have the Yamaha console available.
I hope this information is still helpful.
Thank you in advance for all your feedback and help.
Best regards,
Tim
