I recall reading something about not uninstalling Nuendo Live 1 after upgrading to Live 3. Unfortunately, I did exactly that. Neither Yamaha driver plays nice anymore. I am dead in the water because I only acquired this license to record off a Yamaha TF1.
Drivers have nothing to do with licenses.
Can you rephrase what your problem is exactly?
After upgrading licenses from Live 1 to Live 3, I uninstalled Live 1. Live 3 no longer interfaces with the TF1 to record multitrack.
Drivers and licenses are separate, true. However the wrong driver on the right program does nothing. I reinstalled the appropriate driver after uninstalling the old driver and Live (or Live 1). Problem is resolved. Thanks for the assist @st10ss
