I mean… ya? If you want to update it you do have to put it online, same as Linux. I suppose with Linux you could technically download all the patch sets from the mailing list and compile them yourself but realistically if you wanna update, you go online to do so.
What I’m saying is, it seems to be more frequently recurrent, whereas, I barely updated my Win7 machine ever and everything continued to work for well over a decade.
Windows 7 was my favorite OS, followed by Windows 2000
