My system Config:
Nuendo 14 (latest update), Mac OS Sonoma, 2019 Mac Pro. Multiple monitor displays.
My concern:
Nuendo’s playback cursor completely disappears from the Arrange window in only one of my two current Workspace setups:
Workspace 1 (Arrange/Edit), allows viewing Nuendo’s Arrange Window on my main monitor display (Centered on production desk) for most project creation functions while viewing Nuendo’s Mixer Window on a right side monitor display for reference.
Workspace 2 (Mix), Allows viewing Nuendo’s Mixer Window on my main monitor display (Centered on production desk) for project mix functions while viewing Nuendo’s Arrange Window on the same right side monitor display for reference.
The system has a left side monitor display used primarily to view other Nuendo functions besides the Arrange and Mixer Windows such as VST Instruments and Plugin GUI’s, as well as viewing other software operating alongside Nuendo.
The problem I have is that while Nuendo operates with Workspace 1 (Arrange/Edit) selected, the playback cursor in the Arrange Window is fully visible and operates as designed, but when I switch from Workspace 1 (Arrange/Edit) to Workspace 2 (Mix), Nuendo’s playback cursor completely disappears from Nuendo’s Arrange Window in the side monitor display. After switching back to Workspace 1 (Arrange/Edit) the playback cursor reappears and operates perfectly.
In order to get Nuendo’s playback cursor to re-appear in the Arrange Window when viewed on the side monitor display (Workspace 2) I have to save/quit Nuendo while Workspace 2 is selected as the main view, then re-load Nuendo, which allows Nuendo to load in Workspace 2, viewing the Arrange Window in the side monitor display with the playback cursor fully visible and operating properly.
Unfortunately even after updating Workspace 2 with the playback cursor visible multiple times, this issue continues.
I’ve read other threads on the forum dealing with random disappearing or “Thinning” of the playback cursor under various circumstances but these threads did not help find a solution to the issue I have.
I’m sure someone might reply and suggest that I just leave the Center display for the Arrange Window, etc, but the system has a specific purpose for it’s setup and will not be easily fixed by physical means.
