I have a handbell score template with three flows. The first two specify the handbells used and handchimes used, respectively called the “BUC” and “CUC”; the third is the actual playing score. I’ve edited my template so that the BUC and CUC have two bars (one for treble, one for bass), and have saved it as a project template, preserving flows and project information.
However, when I open it, Dorico resets the BUC from its saved two to 32 bars. I understand that Dorico configures a new document so the first flow is 32 bars, but I don’t think it should do this when I’m starting from one of my project templates.
Is there a way to have my project template open with the saved number of bars? Or is this something that should be changed?
Well… how strange! The new score comes up as expected/saved when I use File->New from Project Template, but the first flow is expanded to 32 bars when I open it from the Hub.
