Number of Dorico users across all platforms?

I guess platforms is 2?

I thought I would send a message to the midi controller maker I just bought. They support different DAWS. (technically, I don’t even know yet if they have Dorico in their list or que) Haven’t even registered the product yet, where i will find out. It already does the most basic functions with Dorico

Nektar btw. I wanted a really small controller, smaller than my Akai, mpk mini 25.which I already have for use with my Ipad.

I thought maybe a note to them with some estimate of how many users and how many potential users might motivate them.

So, if it’s not proprietary information, or for some other reason, that’s fine. Thought I’d check.

Don’t mind me, as if I’m calling it a DAW, as I will say, Notation program.

A MIDI Controller should just send MIDI signals. It’s up to the application to deal with that.

Dorico will accept notes (pitches, velocity) from a MIDI controller, but you can’t use, say CC10, to set Panning in Dorico, or CC7 to control Dorico’s mixer.

It will receive piano pedalling from CC64.

I see, I think? So, in other words, Dorico doesn’t have too many available configuring connections, such as you mention, no automatic connection to each mixer channel when a pre-customized midi device is hooked up to it?
