Hi, I’m hearing percussive sounds (almost like a kick drum and closed high hat) at the start of some notes. Would this be the samples themselves or is there something I can do to stop it? If it were on every note it would be less obvious and I probably would let it slip.

Is this a MIDI import? If so, it could be key switches, perhaps.

No it’s just typed straight into Dorico using the guitar template. I tried a different Halion guitar sound (Nylon Guitar VX) that also does the same thing, but on different notes! I’m sure if I added a drum kit behind it no one would hear it. But Twinkle twinkle little star with a back beat wasn’t really what I was after! 
Maybe the sample are just miked to close to the players finger nails?
I think it’s just the resonance from the guitar picked up by the mics. The only actual percussion I can hear is the click count off at the start.
You may be able to find another sample instrument that sounds better.
