I really like simple, lovely folk melodies. I like to dress them up in various ways yet try to keep something of their original lovely simplicity. This old English tune has been set by Vaughan Williams and used for hymn tunes like ‘The Gift of Love’ and ‘When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.’ I thought it might make a nice string orchestra piece. This version is Dorico with the Auto PT and their RoomWorks ‘Cathedral’ reverb.
