Is it possible to set a default alignment of text such as instrument change labels? The alignment options in the paragraph style dialogue define the alignment of text within the object rather than of the object itself in relation to the rhythmic point anchor.
For example, when instrument change labels are placed just before the first note in the new instrument, and snapped to the immediately preceding barline, those labels are probably best defaulted to object right alignment so that they appear to the left (just ahead) of the bar. But I can’t find any way to do so in style dialogue, or in Layout/Engraving Options.
Am I missing something? (Thanks as always…)
It’s not possible to set the default alignment of instrument change labels: Dorico ignores the horizontal alignment setting in the paragraph style.
