When I right click and open the Object Selection Tool, left clicking a tool to open the drop down menus just closes the Object Selection Tool completely. I noticed in C14 that although it still technically worked, left clicking a drop down menu takes a few seconds of click/holding. I use the time stretching drop down menu constantly, so now having to stop and navigate to the tools at the top of the app is not ok. Anyone else notice this?
@Themystro1 , I followed your repro steps but if I select the scissor tool and click on a midi event it splits the event as expected.
Double click on a midi part to open the editor in a new window (with the arrow already selected)
Right click in the window and select scissors
Click on a midi event - the event splits.
Or in other words: you canāt access any pop up menus in the tool box context.
Same here. Only the tool box in the tool bar works. Surely a bug.
Version 15.0.5.121
Maybe a bug, but at least the dobble and tripple clicking on the keycommands is intact even when you open the tool by rigth clicking in the project window.
rigth click and select the pointer, then click 1 to select alternate tool in dropdown.
how do i selec the SUBMENU tools like Timestretch etc
When I hold the tool in the small toolbox nothing happens
Im a lefty, so my mouse keys are the other way around
Is there an alternative to select these āalternativeā tools? Specially stretch is importantā¦(apart from adding to toolbar menu above, i keep it super empty)
Currently you canāt select additional tools with the right-click toolbar.
Use key commands or the toolbar in the menu bar instead.
And pray that Steinberg thinks they ought to devote their precious time to fix it.
As others said before - for the time being just use key commands.
I got so used to it that I will probably not go back to the toolbox once it is fixed.
You can assign any key command to any tool. E.g., ā1ā is still assigned to object selection. I just click once more to get to its other functions like time stretch.
The only thing that bothers me is that the assigned key commands are not reflected by the order of tools in the toolbox. By default, it isnāt since Cubase 13 or 14.
Apart from that, key commands are easy to use IF you are a key command kinda guy anyways.
Hi everyone - is this still the same in 15.0.20.? Not updating yet (for other reasons).
Thanks for your attention.
PS:- hey @Reco29 well, Iām not a big ākey commandā user⦠But ok, I have been using it/them in this case, because Iām having to use one⦠sigh.
My bigger issue is I just canāt stand stuff getting broken from one version to the next; a perfectly good, convenient, fast workflow gone.
